According to Sportsnet Both the Leafs and Wings are apparantly interested in signing Peter Bondra.  If this is true I guess the the Leafs haven't learned their lesson yet, still going after former stars that are at the end of their careers.
I truly think this could be a right move for the Buds, remember it's Maurice and not Quinn behind the bench, it certainly can't hurt. GO BUDS GO

I think by signing Bondra if the price is right the Buds can't go wrong, it can only help and I'm sure he would be more productive than steen has been. And remember it's Maurice behind the bench not Quinn.

RE: Peter Bondra

aparantly Bondra's asking price is about 3 mill which most teams have been unwilling to part with. if guys like bondra are going to sign it will be no more than 1.5 mill a season

RE: Peter Bondra

RE: Peter Bondra

Apparently Bondra wants a multi-year deal. At least 2 years. That's a bit of a risk with a guy his age.

What's with these older players and all of their demands? They have no leverage on the bargaining table!

RE: Peter Bondra

they start thinking they are immortal... which they arent! once a player hits about 35 their potential has diminished big time and quality has started to drop. i think bondra has 1 more season in him... but that would be the last for him
