RE: Possible trade
First of all, this trade has no source.
Secondly, they won't be trading their first rounder for our "underachieving" (not my words) center, and a 6th round goaltender/player.

RE: Possible trade
this would be a bad trade for the nucks
It can't happen anymore, but it might have been a decent deal, considering Cooke doen't have a point yet and Mo has 1.
We seriously need seondary scoring, other than the sedins and naslund, we jave nothing. If we're in contention for the playoffs, I could see a trade coming.

All you've said is true, expect that it would be a good deal.
When we trade Morrison, can I ask who is going to center the second line, Ryan Kesler? I personally think that's a bad idea. Kesler can pull of some sensational dekes, but he has no finish, and barely any hockey sense. He may be in a tough spot with his big overpayment, and then being asked to kill penalties rather than focus on an offensive game, but still players that get 1.9 million can play good hockey at both ends of the ice. Kesler has performed poorly in the offensive zone.
Matt Cooke and Kesler have been the most disappointing players so far this year. It's guys like Cooke and Kesler that are going to have to get the big goal to win a tight game, and so far they haven't shown that they can come threw and score a goal when the team needs them to.

They have Bulis as playing center, I'm pretty sure he played center in the past.
Sedin Sedin Pyatt
Naslund Bulis Hartnell

Sedin Sedin Pyatt
Naslund Bulis Hartnell
Bulis can play all three forward positions. He was a third line center in Montreal, what makes you think he's capable of centering the second line here, on what is considered to be a more offensive team than what Montreal had last year.

Bulis is already playing on the second line. He would just move from RW to Center. The trade would have cleared out cap space for us to pick up someone else at the deadline.

RE: Possible trade
There are two trades out there I would like to make.
To Vancouver
Dan Hamhuis
Scott Hartnell
To Nasvhille
Sami Salo
Cory Schnieder
2nd Round pick
I'm not sure if there is quite enough cap space. (It would be close.) Salo is always injured and has been hurting the team more than he helps it. Nasvhille doesn't need a gritty winger like Cooke, or an underachiever like Morrison, they need a young goaltending prospect. The 2nd round pick would be there to even some of the value Hamhuis and Hartnell would bring.
another trade would be
To Vancouver
Anton Volchenkov
Dean McCammond
To Ottawa
Brendan Morrison
2nd round pick
The Canucks need a defenseman more than they need a forward, and McCammond would bring some decent hands and speed to the lineup. Ottawa needs a center for Alfredsson, Morrison might be the right fit, plus some cap relief.

Nashville trade: Not enough cap space, Hartnell is 1.7 or something, Salo 1.5. With the Morrrison trade, there might be enough space. Nashville doesn't need a goaltender prospect, they have Pekka Rinne. That trade doesn't make sense.
The Ottawa trade, howver, is suitable for both teams, exept that the Sens probably don't have the cap space for Morrison. Maybe make it a third rounder though. I wouldn't mind Mike Fisher if he was available
