Possible trade
To Van: Adam Hall and Scott Hartnell
To Nashville:Matt Cooke, Brendan Morrison, Jullian Ellis Plante
This trade works for both teams as Hartnell and Hall are restricted free agents and can't seem to come to terms with Nashville. Hartnell and Hall are power forwards (Eric Cole like) with a good upside in the NHL. Nashville receives two nhl proven players that works for their type of system plus a highly ranked goalie prospect.
After this trade we bump Kesler to first line with first line minutes and see if he can regain that 30 goal year he had at the AHL. This trade gives us $4 million of cap space to sign Hall and Hartnell plus a defenceman. It also allows Trevor Linden to have a bigger role with the Canucks rather than just 4th line garbage minutes.
Naslund-Kesler-Hartnell
Sedins-Hall
Pyatt-Chouinard-Burrows
Schultz-(Santala,Reid)Linden
*To a lesser extent we can trade for just one of those forwards rather than both.
Opinion?....

RE: Possible trade
eh not a fan, kesler & hartnell arnt 1st line material, and we give up a decent 1st line center and one of out best goaltending prospects, im fine with trading cooke but other then that im not really a fan of this trade...

Morrison isn't a first line center either, hes a second liner, H.Sedin is easily better than Mo.

RE: Possible trade
I kinda like this trade, it gives us 2 up and coming players and clears out cap room. Don't know if Nashville would take it though, why would they want Morrison? They have Arnott and Legwand at center

Hall is now off the market. Traded to the rangers for Dominic Moore.

Please pay attention to the postion the players play, Naslund only broke out after they switched him to left wing from right wing, hall is not a second liner, Schultz is a right winger, and theres no way burrows belongs on the 3rd line.
