Predators Dismantling?

The Predators' trades do not bode well for the signing of forward Paul Kariya, who will also become an unrestricted free agent July 1 if the Predators do not re-sign him before then. "In all probability we are not going to be signing our top free agents," GM David Poile said. "Paul Kariya would like to come back to Nashville as long as he sees we are a very competitive team. I can see Paul waiting a little bit of time before making a decision. I am going to meet with his agent this weekend in Columbus."

I guess they're cutting back payroll before moving the franchise. On the bright side, Alex Radulov will have ample playing time to develop.
