It seems lately there are some people posting "too" much.  I know it doesn't sound right but this is QNHL the Quality NHL forum.  Try any make sure you posts are up to standard.

I think certain people are posting just to try and get a free shirt or hat.  The contest is a generous gesture from GSA to get the forum moving.  I don't think it was intended to give free hats & t-shirts to people who can post 1000 QHNL dollars in a week.  If this type of posting continues I think it could wreck the contest for those who legitimately deserve to win.  It only takes a few bad apples to wreck it for the bunch.  Please keep this in mind.  I encourage the mods to keep an eye out for this type of behaviour.

I think if we determine a person is spaming or posting just to get freebies they maybe disqualified from the contest.

Lets keep this forum on track.  Quality Hockey Posts!!

Nicely put wingsfan. I agree with you for the disqualifacation thing if it is made clear enough that you are only posting stuff to get a hat or T-shirt. There are real members who like to post here and talk hockey not because they want a free hat or T-shirt, but because they are hockey fans

I agree with both of you...but when someone comes and clearly says I am here to get the t-shirt and we will see what happens after, it gives you a bad impression. Wingsfan didn't mean that you shoud not post frequently, just keep in mind that we want to keep our forums a nice and attractive place.

Couldn't agree more with what has been said.  I think each of the mods and GSA will agree with me when I say that we're glad to see the recent activity here, we love to see the community growing and it's great to see such an expansion within the past week but I can definately agree when they say there are some posts that were a bit unnesessary or weren't exactly "quality" posts.  I've seen a few posts in the past few days, actually several threads made, about one or a few similar topics that could have all easily been put into the same topic.  I don't feel we're being overly critical here, we just want the quality of the discussions to fit a certain reasonable level and small things like this almost make it seem like some have just joined the forum in a quest to get a free shirt or hat.  No one is saying you can't use the forums as they were intended, or that we don't want you posting reguarly and enjoying the atmosphere here, but just take into account the validity of what it is you are posting.  If you have to double-guess yourself, or are just posting to raise your post count in an effort to gain more QNHL$, it's probably not something that really needs to be posted.  I think we have a good community growing here and I'm sure we can all work collectively towards the goal of making this one of the best hockey forums on the net, however posting for the reasons described above with not help in attaining this goal at all, it will in fact, hender us.

I've noticed that we have some new people joining the forum so I thought I would bump this up so everybody knows the rules, even if it's a refresher. Make sure you read the forum rules again if you have to but just make sure that you don't over post and spam the boards/post excessively (same idea I know).

It's great that you're enjoying the forum but make sure that the forum looks presentable to other people visiting the site and trying to decide whether they want to join or not - they don't want to see one person doing all the posting (or looks like it).

It mainly goes for everyone but I have seen in the last few months a few cases where people are posting a lot more than they should so that's why I've brought this post back up.

Truely... The last thing I need is another tee-shirt!! I think they are multiplying on their own in the closet.
