Looks like there is going to be another suspension for the Flyers pretty soon. Randy Jones hit Patrice Bergeron from behind. This type of hit happens pretty often but this particular hit has a terrible result. I would guess this one should be a lot less than the other Flyer suspensions because Jones did not leave his feet.

Some of that hit has to be on Bergeron. Every player in the league knows that they are going to get hit on that play and they also know that 2 feet out from the boards is a dangerous place to be.

It looked like Patrice knew he was going to play the puck behind the goal, why he decided to stop and admire the play is beyond me.

Regardless, a hit from behind is a hit from behind.

Bergeron has a concussion and a broken nose.

Thats bad news for the Bruins to lose Bergeron after coming out so well to start the season. Hope he isn't out long.

What kind of suspension does everyone think Jones will get? My guess is between 5-10 but only really deserves 2 or 3 at most.
He is not a dirty player and it wasn't that bad of a hit. Jason Blake made the exact same hit at the end of the 2nd period tonight but the guy didn't fall into the boards and get injured.

I think he will get 5 max. That play happens at least once in every game. It is rare for it to turn out like this.

i can't beleive this he only gets 2 games it should be a 5 games thats bull he has a concussion and a broken nose and all Jones gets is 2 games

I think 2 games is great. It was more the "play" and not the "player" that caused this injury.

Well the league got this one right. There was absolutly no intent on this hit, he was trying to make a hit to get at the puck not just for the sake of hitting someone.

i think the whole philly locker room should be banned 3 hits in like 2 months thats insane i hate philly all these hits is why hockey is going to die
