Rangers placed Shanahan on injured reserve

NEW YORK (AP) - The New York Rangers placed veteran forward Brendan Shanahan on injured reserve Wednesday and recalled forward Brad Isbister from Hartford of the American Hockey League.

Shanahan has missed two games since suffering a concussion last Saturday after colliding with Philadelphia Flyers forward Mike Knuble.

The 38-year-old leads the Rangers with 28 goals this season. He also has 26 assists.

Isbister has 27 points in 42 games with the Wolf Pack and Albany River Rats this season.

yeah, was an unfortunate collision,neither of the player could do something about it.
but the previous game when he spit his own teeth out and casually went looking on the ice after that for his teeth
shanny is the man, they don't come much tougher
