Ribeiro

One of my favorite players is Mike Ribeiro. He's having a tough season, but the last games were better for him. I appreciate his puk handling skills. Below is a link to a good picture of him from tsn.ca

RE: Ribeiro

He had a real talent, but he don't play well in all the games. If he would play each game how he's able, He should be a great player!

I smell a Leafs fan in here! Toungue

Ribeiro is a small, but skill forward. He need great offensive mind winger or big physical winger to be effective. Even if I'm confident he has his place in the NHL as a top-2 center, I don't think he's the best suit for our 2nd line im Montreal. I wouldn't mind to see him go. I would prefer a Koivu-Arnott 1-2 punch!

RE: Ribeiro

Ya, if he'd just play the game and stop the bull I wouldn't mind him but watching him dive and starting fights then running has made me dislike him.

RE: Ribeiro

I wish Boynton had taken care of him when he the chance. Better yet the whole B's roster shoulda taken turns on him.

RE: Ribeiro

That's the specific incident I think of most when someone mentions Ribeiro. He was dumb enough to drop the gloves with Boynton but before he could get beat down Begin and some other habs jumped Boynton from behind. What a mess. If I had a guy like Ribeiro on my team and he mouthed off then was stupid enough to agree to fight the guy I wouldn't step in for him.

Actually I was referring to the injury he faked during the playoffs against the B's and then after the call immediate got up and started pointing and laughing at the B's bench.

If I was out there I would have taken his head off.

RE: Ribeiro

I still like Ribeiro, and I think this year he has to give 200% every night, otherwise Gainey will trade him...he will have both Kovalev and Samsonov, and he is obliged to play well...no excuse. He has to be more determined. I also think he needs to go to the gym more!!! Seriously, everyone can build up muscles...why not Ribeiro?
