Roenick not done yet
The ever-quotable Jeremy Roenick has already un-retired after apparently announcing his retirement earlier in the month.
Roenick's agent, Neil Abbott, said in a statement that Roenick has made no final decision for next season and will wait to make a formal announcement "in the next few weeks," writes the Arizona Republic.
Roenick, a nine-time all-star who played with four teams, sent a text message to a reporter at The Philadelphia Inquirer reading, "I'm retiring; is that still news?" The story was posted on the paper's website.

I personally don't like this player. But he can probably help some teams if he shuts his mouth, and plays some hockey.

RE: Roenick not done yet
I do agree with you that he does talk a little too much and should keep his mouth shut every once in a while. But if he wants to come back and play another year or more, it doesn't bother me. If he wants to play, then good for him.

RE: Roenick not done yet
its understandable why hes coming back, hes sitting at 495 career goals, and honestly, who wouldint come back to hit that 500 goal plateau.

RE: Roenick not done yet
I think he'd be a great fit in Washington for a year, not for leadership purposes, but for a cheap talented center, who can aggrivate the other team. I know he can be mouthy and all, but who can't get points from playing with Ovechkin. I agree with Vancity_Nucks though, I'd say he wants that 500 goal mark pretty bad.

RE: Roenick not done yet
Roenick's signing with SJ will definately solidify their center position. He provides leadership at a place where he isn't expected to put up significant numbers. He can just go out and play. Most likely on the checking line. He can now get his five goals for 500 and then retire at the end of the 07-08 season.

RE: Roenick not done yet
i think he's a good guy (seems funny and likable), but i just don't like him as a hockey player. its probably because the red wing in me still hates him from his chicago days. i'll root for him to get his 500 goals, but after that i think he should retire since he's only going downhill.
