Rolie the Goalie agrees to a 3 year deal with Oil

Quote:
Sources tell TSN that the Edmonton Oilers have re-signed free agent goaltender Dwayne Roloson to a three-year contract.

Terms were not disclosed.

Roloson, 36, led the Oilers to the Stanley Cup final after being acquired at the trade deadline from the Minnesota Wild. Before getting injured in the first game of the final, Roloson posted a 12-5 record with a 2.32 goals against average and .927 save percentage in the postseason.

Roloson registered a 14-23-5 combined record, with a 2.73 goals against average and .908 save percentage with Minnesota and Edmonton during the regular season.

Good for the Oilers! They have their goaltender issue solved if he plays like he did in the Playoffs

That's a good signing by the Oilers, they need him. I wasn't expecting a 3 year contract, Roloson's getting up there, still a good signing though. Price is probably very reasonable compared to the goalies on the market since Roloson is an "unproven" goaltender.

i beleave the deal is 3.3 a season or close to that, i know he played great in the playoffs but he didint put up the greatist numbers during the regular season behind a extreamly defensive minnesota
