Senators sign Martin Gerber and Joe Corvo
The Ottawa Senators have signed goaltender Martin Gerber.
Gerber compiled a 38-14-6 record and a 2.78 goals against average in 60 games with the Carolina Hurricanes this season.
He played just six games in the playoffs after losing his job to Cam Ward and was 1-1 with a 3.52 goals against average.
Corvo, who signed a four-year deal worth $10.5 million, had 14 goals and 26 assists in 81 games with the Kings this season. In 203 career games with the Kings and Chicago Blackhawks he contributed 27 goals and 50 assists.

Man! PoP... how fast are you! I just read this thread... headed back to tsn to read the story and found out the sens made another signing and its already updated. Are you a member of TSN or something. Good job
I don't know if I like this deal with Corvo. I don't think I like it at all! For 2.5 million its just a bit hard to swallow. This guy better not be Charas replacement!

both will be good additions for the sens, not to sure about gerber tho, he seemed to choke in the playoffs

I think with this signing, we can be sure that Hasek won't be back next year,
And this Corvo guy isn't a great fit for the sens un my mind, they let Pothier walk and signed him so I don;t think they want to replace chara with him.
Hopefully they can still work out the deal to get Pronger!!!!!!
