Sharks to trade Toskala?
Sharks backup Vesa Toskala would like to one day become a starting goalie in the NHL, a feat that likely won't happen in San Jose, reports the San Francisco Chronicle.
"My only goal is to be a No. 1 goalie in the league," Toskala, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1, told the newspaper.
After the Sharks inked their top netminder Evgeni Nabokov to a four-year extension worth $21.5 million last week, it appears evident that Toskala's tenure in San Jose is coming to an end.
According to the Chronicle, Toskala could get dealt by the March 9 trade deadline if the Sharks don't want to lose him for nothing this summer.

I don't think he will ever become a n1 goalie. He doesn't have the skills for that. You can see that he's a good backup since this season, for example, he an 8-5-2 record with a 3.12 goals-against average and a .883 save percentage. But a percentage of 0.883 are not those of a n1 goalie.
