RE: Simple Trivia Game
December 12, 1933 in benefit of ace bailey who had been injured... and would never be able to play again...Bailey hit the ice so hard that the priest gave him his last rites but he survived...
That's the one I was looking for. Good job. Now it's your turn to ask a question.

You miss 100% of the shots you never take. – Wayne Gretzky
Great moments are born from great opportunity. - Herb Brooks

RE: Simple Trivia Game
The first All-Star game in ice hockey predates the NHL. It was played on January 2, 1908
and actually the player wasnt injured it was in memory of MOntreal Wanderers player Hod Stuart who drowned 3 months after they won a cup... and the other date would be
December 12, 1933 in benefit of ace bailey who had been injured... and would never be able to play again...Bailey hit the ice so hard that the priest gave him his last rites but he survived...
Excellent post. I thought it was quite informative.
LET'S GO!!!!

RE: Simple Trivia Game
first of all wikipedia ftw... i first thought it was because of the death after a heart attack(according to one player a broken heart) of Howie Morenz... but i was wrong... anyway my question
the question!
in the 1989 entry draft a player selected by a team won a stanley cup a few years after he was drafted... a few days after winning the cup he and a teammate had a car accident due to that accident the player would never be able to play again... he was one of the hardest hitters of his era. who am i thinking off?

RE: Simple Trivia Game
I have a question for you all:
This season, 2008-2009, two players (one from nashville and one from AHL Houston Aeros) left their contracts to go home and play. Name them?
