DALLAS (AP) - The Dallas Stars signed free agent winger Todd Fedoruk to a one-year, $875,000 contract Monday.

Fedoruk, an enforcer who has averaged more than a penalty per game in 354 career games, started last season with Stanley Cup champion Anaheim before getting traded to Philadelphia in November. He finished with 120 penalty minutes and 14 points in 58 games.
"Todd adds the elements of size and toughness to our hockey club," Stars general manager Doug Armstrong said.

The 6-foot-2, 241-pound Fedoruk was a second-round pick in 1997 by the Flyers, who traded him to the Ducks in 2005 before getting him back a little more than a year later. He's scoreless with 38 penalty minutes in 19 career playoff games.
