RE: Top 3 goalies of the year

Fernandez
Vokoun (best in the league besides those first two games)
Garon (doing better than expected on a terrible Kings team)

Definitely credit to Garon. I wanted to list him, but just couldnt because of lack of wins. But on straight stats he is #1 in the NHL right now. .941% SA and 1.72 GAA

Glad someone mentioned him. He was # 3B on my list

BTW, Smith let in 2, not 1 in two games.

RE: Top 3 goalies of the year

I left Miller off because he really benefits from his team in front of him. He hasn't really had to step up to win games. Most of their close games they have come from behind which is the offense. I was listwning to Buffalo radio today and they were sort of comparing him with Grant Fuhr. He had a lot of wins but didn;t really have a great save% or GAA. He is still playing pretty well but I think some others on worse teams deserve more recognition.

2006-07
1. Lehtonen
2. Fernandez
3. Miller
...and honourable mention to Turco

2005-06
1. Kipprusoff
2. Vokoun
3. Legace
...honourable mention to Lundqvist

How things have changed Smile Kind of surprised Brodeur didn't make either list.

My reasoning was the same.

Well said.

RE: Top 3 goalies of the year

Miller is being overrated thus far imo. He may have a ton of wins but look at his stats. They're very good but not in the top 3. His w-l record is more a product of the team playing in front of him right now.
