RE: Top 3 goalies of the year
Hes not overrated, he is just playing way to much this year. Hes played 11 out of 14 games which is way to many with a back-up of the quality of biron. Hes been good with a GAA just over 2.5 i definatley dont think hes overated though.

RE: Top 3 goalies of the year
I don't think he's overrated necessarily, it's just too much to say he's been the best goalie this year.

RE: Top 3 goalies of the year
I think he is overrated because many people think he is rated #1. He is not the best goalie of the year so far. I think that they aren't playing Biron too much because they don't want him to get injured, so that they can tade him.

RE: Top 3 goalies of the year
Understandable that they arent playing biron because they fear he might get injured but they wont get anything of value if they dont show other teams how good he is. Personally i dont think he will get traded because the Sabres are the kind of team that will most likely make the playoffs and if Miller goes down with an injury just like Roloson did last year they may want to have a reliable goalie.

RE: Top 3 goalies of the year
I keep saying I think that the Sabres will trade Biron. I realized today that most of last year I said wait till the trade deadline and they will trade Biron. Then this summer I was sure he was going to be moved.
Miller and Biron combined make less than $5mil. so it might make sense to keep them both around unless they have some real big need to fix, which they don't at the moment.

RE: Top 3 goalies of the year
I think Miller is a great goalie, the best for years to come in my eyes, by the end of the season, I'd say he will be nominated for the Vezina, but Brodeur or Kipper will Probably get it, somehow >.> haha. In my eyes though the top three goalies in the league this year are going to be:
1. Brodeur
2. Miller
3. Roloson

Why is noone writeing about Giguere??
He is almost manly reason that Ducks are so great!
Mine would be:
1.Giguere
2.Miller
3.Vokoun
DUCK Power

RE: Top 3 goalies of the year
I think people don't mention Giguere because of Pronger and Niedermeyer. He is good but would he have the same numbers without those two guys in front of him.
Hasek has been much better than I expected.
Iwould go with
Broduer
Hasek
Vokoun
I still think that Vokoun is going to win the Vezina.

RE: Top 3 goalies of the year
1. Roberto Luongo - If it weren't for him it's likely that The Canucks wouldn't have even made the playoffs, let alone beat Dallas and last 5 games against Anaheim.
2. Mikka Kiprusoff - Probably the most naturally talented goalie in the league. He makes it look easy.
3. J.S. Giguere - Yes, he did have Niedermayer and Pronger in front of him, but there were some games that Giguere absolutely stole for Anaheim last year. Games that Anaheim had no business winning but did because of Giguere's stellar play.
"How would you know? When I played you were in your 3rd year of
8th grade." - Ducks color analyst Brian Hayward to Sean Avery.
