RE: WHL???????
Scouts travel very far, it is their job so they do alot to prove they are good at it, all goalie scouts look for basic skills, butterfly technique, stance, hand placement, composure, agility speed and size, you can also count on them to observe more in depth skills, player awareness, stick handling, rebound protection, post to post speed, crease placement, glove and blocker usage, teammate communication, and consistency. Pretty much everything you can think of.

RE: WHL???????
Scouts do not look at the quantity of goals you let in. Obviously there are goals that are near possible to stop and they look at how you handled the situation and how well you executed the correct movement/positioning. Getting noticed isnt as hard as it seems. Amazing saves are great for highlight reals but are just another save to scouts. They look for a goalie that plays a very sound game, not many rebounds, very composed and comfortable in the net, a smart/conservative game will draw attention. If your good, they will find you. Sadly size is a factor for goalies. But its guys like Fred Brathwaite that show small goalies can make it. In leagues like the QMJHL, WHL, OHL, USHL, ECHL, UHL, CHL, SPHL and many other junior leagues, size is less of a factor, and goalie choices are based more on pure skill then intangibles, in the end a good goalie will get far, as long as they stop the puck.

RE: WHL???????
\no offence here or anything but thibault41 is the only one that sounds like he knows anything here...first off the level of hockey is not made by how many people are there its made by how good you are...the best play aaa then next aa then a then b.....not how many people are where you live haha....also scouts yes go to bantam aaa games obviously because thats where everyone that gets drafted in the whl bantam draft are drafted from is bantam aaa...this year the draft is for kids born in 93 so if your born in 93 this is your draft year for the whl but you said your a first year bantam so that should mean your born in 94 unless ofcourse you were wrong or lying.....and some scouts will travel far...most teams though have more then one scout....like for example kamloops blazers...they may have 6 scouts perhaps two in bc two in alberta two in saskatchewan ofcourse thats just a guess but lots of teams have more then one scout for different areas but yeh....just telling you some of what i know

RE: WHL???????
I would try to find out who the Giants scouts are and try going to the games and chatting them up. Talk about what they are looking for and they'll get to know you. It seems desperate but you never know.
