What to do with Crosby?

I have Crosby in a league where we dont have an IR shood i drop him and pick up a free agent or hold on to him until he gets injured and lose those points in his injury time.

I think he is supposed to be reevaluated pretty soon and they will have a better idea of how long he will be out. If he is going to be out for more than a month I would drop him as long as there are some decent players available. It would depend on how many people are in the pool and how many players are on each team.

RE: What to do with Crosby?

I heard that Crosby is out a month. If you're in a really high position in your league (like 1st or 2nd place or something like that), then you should probably keep him and weather out the storm. However, if you're struggling to make the playoffs this season and you need production now, try shopping him around the league for almost anything. I'm sure whatever return you can get back will be better than whats on the waiver wire.

RE: What to do with Crosby?

I would drop him. If he is out 6 weeks which is best case scenerio according to the latest news he would be able to play 14 games if he's out 8 weeks he will play 9 games. Right now being healthy he is averaging 1.37 points per game, at that pace you can expect somewhere between 15 and 20 points from him if you keep him and he comes back and scores at the same pace as he has all season. I would bet you can pick up someone who will score more than 20 points between now and the end of the season.

I like Rolston and Roy the most out of that group.

Yea, i dont know about Roy, he's been REALLY slow... Rolston is seems to be going a concistant pace. Have you thought of taking a chance with teemu selanne? It would be a risky move, but think when he comes back, he will produce numbers. But by the time he comes into the NHL picture, Crosby might be back in. I guess its up to you.
