What's happening with the Habs?

I think the Habs, especially with their yesterday loss, has been shaken. Some change has to happen for this team, so last year after thanskgiving lethargy doesn't happen again this year. For the habs fans, and every person following the habs, here are some questions and my answers. Feel free to give your answers and justify them.

-Is it time to trade Koivu: I really respect this guy, but I say YES. He has been great for Montreal, but he's not the leader that a team would love to have. He would be a great center on a 2nd line in any team. But more leadership is required in Montreal.

-Is it time to trade Kovalev: NO. I think he's the most talented guy on the team, and this year he has been showing his real talent. What is missing is more leadership, a real captain. You don't want to lose Kovalev, even though in the previous years he was showing lack of consistency.

-Is it time to trade Huet: YES. He is an UFA, and Price is the future. Better than losing him for nothing at the end of the year, he can make a great package with Koivu to get the real leader (and hopefully scorer) the Habs need.

-Is it time to trade Ryder: I would say NO. Even though he's a unidimensional player, his stats of the last three years show that he is a natural scorer. The team needs him, since it doesn't have that many scorers.

RE: What's happening with the Habs?

I say the Habs need to define who is going to be the number 1 goalie this year. If that means trading Huet....then so be it. He is a good caliber goalie and there are some teams out there that could benefit from him.

I am not against wrapping him up with Koivu to bring in some aid either. Although, I believe that Koivu has the most Heart on the team and he is a player that motivates others.

Ryder will be a cheap resign next season if he keeps playing the way he is.
