RE: Who can stop 'em??
I can't wait for an Anaheim vs. Buffalo matchup in the Cup Final...those will be some good games!

RE: Who can stop 'em??
All the Sabres fans I've talked to about it seem to think the Thrash have the best chance of beating them right now (to be honest, I'm still kind of surprised the Habs didn't give them their first loss) but I wouldn't completely rule out the Isles just yet. Some of the top teams right now have, in the past, had an unexplicable tendancy of losing to teams they should statistically dominate so who knows. I think at this point it could be any team the Sabres play, just comes down to who is willing to put a better effort forward, and if the Sabres get too cocky or start looking past certain teams (which from the looks of it they have yet to do, which is why I think they've been so sucessfull so far).
As far as Atlanta winning .... I suppose on paper we should outscore them but if Kovy goes on another cold streak and they neutralize Hoss, it's going to be a tough game. I think the major key for us to come out with the W will be to step up in a major way on the defensive. Our PK has been stellar but we've been letting a lot of weak goals get by and our Dmen could be doing a better job of controlling rebounds (the majority of goals Lethy has let by have been rebounds and in the case of the Carolina game, burned us twice with dual last minute/second goals and ultimately cost us the game and in the case of the Whitney goal, screwed us out of a point by a half a second - still obviously feeling the burn of that one ). Offensively I think we have the better group and when our top guys aren't scoring, we have a few unexpected guys that can step up. Sim has been the surprise of this season so far, I mean, would who have thought this guy would have more goals than Kovy (at any point this season)? Kozlov, Holik, deVries, and Vigier are all quite capable of generating some great scoring chances if Hoss and Kovy are too overpressured (assuming Hartley is going to continue keeping them on seperate lines for this game) and Mellanby has a talent for being inconspicuous and being able to sneak goals by.
Win or lose, I think it's going to be an exciting game to watch and I'm looking forward to see how we fare against this talented Buffalo team.

RE: Who can stop 'em??
I'm also kind of rooting for Buffalo to break the record tonight. It'd be nice.
