Who was Monreal's 3 biggest legends?
Lots of toughies. I think Rocket is a shoo-in, and Beliveau will probably be #2..

RE: Who was Monreal's 3 biggest legends?
Rocket Richard
Jacque Plante
Boom Boom Geoffrion
Those are my 3 picks in order. All changed the game in 1 way or another.

RE: Who was Monreal's 3 biggest legends?
Boom Boom Geoffrion invented the slapshot, but I don't think he shined as much as Henri Richard, Jean Beliveau and Jacques Plantes.
By the way, does anyone know why they call him Boom Boom?
My guess is well, because he invented the slapshot, The first Boom is when the stick hits the puck, and the second Boom is for when the puck hits the wall behind the net! Boom Boom!

Exactly why we call him Boom Boom.

Real old timers Doug Harvey played in the same ERA as Maurice Richard Richard and Jacques Plante ... He finished his career after The Rocket also.
