Who's Next for Gainey?
Corus Sports citing CKAC radio in Montreal reports the Canadiens have re-signed forward Maxim Lapierre to a two-year contract. Financial terms haven't been disclosed. Lapierre was eligible for RFA status in July.
This is good news for the Habs but now we need to focus more on Streit and Kostitsyn (Andrei). These are two guys we don't want to see go. Sign Andrei long term and if we can get get Streit at the right price, sign him as well.
LET'S GO!!!!

RE: Who's Next for Gainey?
I agree with habsfan. I think Streit's role might be underestimated. I think his presence along with markov is crucial on the PP. Also Streit's vision and first pass helped the Habs offense greatly this last season. Andrei is a very skilled player. His trio with Kovalev and Plekanek will only improve next year. Don't let him be attracted by the oil money of Russia!
