Who's the next captain?
Who do you guys think will become the next red wings captain? I don't really know but I'm guessing Chelios since he's a veteran and has leadership qualities. He's been captain of the American olympic team three times already so he's got the experience. A red wings fan could certainly offer more insight into this that I have, though. Another possibility I've thought of is that they may not have a captain at all to honor Yzerman and run three a's instead.

RE: Who's the next captain?
I am by no stretch of the imagination a Red Wings fan but I could see Lidstrom taking over the Captaincy next year. He's been with the team longer than anybody else now that Yzerman is retired.
It's strange though because just today I was wondering who would be the next Captain for the Red Wings.

RE: Who's the next captain?
i could see chelios or someone who's been with the team for quite a while with leadership qualities both on and off the ice.

RE: Who's the next captain?
Lindstrom too, I think has great qualities and can be a good captain. My choice: Lindstrom or CHelios.

i say lindstrom because he has been on the wings for a very long time he has wearn the A for most of his time there and he would be a good captian. chelios is a good choice to but chris is older so they will get more years out lindstrom and they wont hav to keed switchin

Are you kidding me, If it is Lidstrom then that will be a huge shock, he has been there longer, IS a Captian, and isn't gonign to retire soon, also I think he is a better D-man than Chelios

RE: Who's the next captain?
He plays a more complete defensive game than Chelios, that's for sure. You can't really compare the two though because they came up in different eras.
