Wild sign Belanger, Schaefer
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota Wild re-signed centre Wes Welz to a one-year deal on Tuesday and also added veteran centre Eric Belanger and goaltender Nolan Schaefer.

I have to say that I'm definitely glad Wes Walz is going to back next year. He's a favorite of mine and I think he's been with the team either since the beginning or the second year that the franchise started playing in the league.

Why get Schaefer? Backstrom is the unquestioned #1 goalie now while Harding has proven himself to be a capable backup.
