RE: Will Lecavalier be traded?
No way, do you think that Jay Feaster would ruin his team even more? If he were to trade anyone don't you think it would be one of his more struggling players, for example Brad Richards? Thats what I think..

RE: Will Lecavalier be traded?
Lecavalier has really proven himself over the last three years. He is still a young player and is an asset to the lightning's offense. It really would be a major mistake by Jay Feaster.

RE: Will Lecavalier be traded?
Lecavalier and Richards both have no-trade clauses. They won't go anywhere unless they okay the trade. Besides, Lecavalier is one of the top 5 players in the game today. There is no way that Tampa Bay could get even value for a player like that. Its more likely Martin St. Louis or Prospal would get traded for some help on defense or goaltending.

RE: Will Lecavalier be traded?
Lecalvier is definately an untouchable on the team. I have heard however, that there is talks of his little buddy Martin St. Louis going to Dallas for Turco. I can't see how that would be anything great for Tampa, I mean, they would still have two capable centers (Lecalvier and Richards), but what about wingers? Unless it was like Turco and Lehtinen or Jokinen or Miettenen for St. Louis.

Dallas wouldn't get rid of Turco, even though Smith is really good..

Maybe Dallas would do that in the offseason when they can just go and sign a free agent goalie (like Huet, maybe?), but not right before the playoffs. I think Tampa Bay will trade St. Louis or Richards (if he waives his no-trade clause) during the summer, but not now.

RE: Will Lecavalier be traded?
I don't think the Lightning need to trade any of the big 3. Right now they are almost 9mil under the salary cap and it is supposed to go up again this coming summer. They just need some depth so that the top line doesn't have to play 30 minutes a game. Holmqvist seems to be doing ok, he is 5 games over .500 and the other two goalies are a combined 4-13-1. Some help on D and a couple of solid forwards and they could be right back in the playoff picture next spring.
