Privately, the Detroit Red Wings are confident they will sign Swedish sensation Fabian Brunnstrom, a late bloomer who has attracted interest from virtually every team in the NHL after being overlooked in the entry draft.

Brunnstrom is said to have been swayed by the Red Wings' large Swedish contingent (seven players) and style of play.

However, his agent, J.P. Barry, said Brunnstrom's mind is not made up: "Fabian is still considering his options and has not decided one way or the other," Barry said.
