Ill eventually get the Xbox360 when the price comes down. All I play is hockey so its not worth $400. I have a regular Xbox now.

Then EA will be able to coax me into buying one of their games, as their 360 NHL 2007 game is their only good NHL game.

I was hoping the PS3 would have a better controller, but no. Same old PSOne controller layout. Not a good button/stick layout for newer games.

Considering price range, graphics capability, and overall gameplay in deciding which new console to get, I would recommend an Xbox 360. Graphically, its right up there with the ps3 and is a little more affordable. But I must say, I think it will be intersting to see what the Wii is going to do in the war of the next-gen consoles. I've never been much of a Nintendo fanboy at all, but so far the Wii looks very promising. Graphically, it doesnt come close to what the ps3 and 360 are packing, but the graphics are decent and it's the cheapest next-gen console out. Not to mention the Wii-mote controller looks like it can really enhance gameplay and could bring gamers and non-gamers alike in front of their tv's to play. But I don't think they have any hockey games available yet

360 cause it looks better for sports titles althoguth the controler will get some getting used to as i have ps2....

I can't believe how desperate some people are to get their hands on these things. During the PS3 launch several people were robbed and shot while waiting in line. A few stores were robbed as well. What is this world coming to? It's not like stores won't get resupplied. In fact, the new shipments have been processed and should be out this week. Not to mention a lot of people were buying them and then selling them on ebay for $2700. One even sold for $9000 and the sad part is people were buying them like crazy.

I am hoping to get an Xbox 360, the graphics look amazing and the only gaming system that has NHL 07.
I do want to try Nintendo Wii though just to try the controller out.

I like the Xbox but i am getting a PS3, I ve never had problems with play stations or sony. Plus I have alot of playstation games. But i do love the graphics on Xbox but im sure PS will have the same!

ya. I'm looking at trying to convince my parents to get me a 360 elite for my bday but i will have to sell my ps2 and all my games etc, so theres easy $150 +

I think right now the Wii is the best system simply for 2 reasons: 1) its the cheapest system and 2) its the most innovative system. Games developed on the Wii are pretty freakin' cool and actually using the nunchuk + remote to play games is really interactive and fun. Plus, its more affordable than the other systems.

However, I think in a year or two the PS3 will really shine. Sony is really great with their game systems and have a ton of developers making games for them. I think its only a matter of time before games start utilizing all of the PS3's potential and it'll blow the other two systems away. Plus, I think the multimedia functionality (Blu-Ray player, Tivo-like ability, and I think other things) are an added bonus. Hopefully they can streamline production and lower the cost of the system. Also, I really hate that xbox forces you to pay for online while the PS3 is currently online-free. I think thats a huge bonus since it saves like over $100 bucks each year that could be used for more games.
