he definitely was a great player and i think the red wings organization (players, coaches, management, etc) and the fans will miss him playing with the wings since he has retired. i don't think you could say enough about yzerman.

I hate the Wings but I respect Yzerman above pretty much any other NHLer. I too will never forget that goal against Fuhr. Talk about a cannon!

Dead Wings? The Wings have probably been the most dominant team in the NHL over the past 10-15 years and it looks like they're not slowing down anytime soon. Even if you hate the team, you have to admit they're doing something right to be so good for so long.
