Hello,

How about those Grand Rapids Griffins!!

I grew up in Grand Rapids.  When I was a kid Grand Rapids had a team called the Owls.  I believe they played in the IHL.  The owls played in this old building that looked like it was ready to fall down.

When the Griffins came to town they built a brand new rink/stadium for them.  No they are kicking butt.

I know this is a IHL question but is motor city comming back to the league any time soon? We went up to a game a few year back and had a great time.

Griffin or Gryphon is a mythical quadruped with foreparts eagle and rear, tail and hind legs of the lion. Griffin Claw is particularly valuable because they are known to change color in the presence of poison, which is why they made useful drinking vessels
