There are lots of lists revolving around best players of all time. There are limited amounts of discussion as to who are/were the best role players of all time.

I'd especially like to hear about players from the 60s and 50s as you don't hear much about role players from that era.

I'd have to agree with bobbyorr1300013 Bobby definately changed the game.

Yes I really remember Bob Gaine and Guy Carbonneau they are so awesome in field.

Here is a list of the of our unsung heroes of the first half of the season in a particular order and a role players of all time. 1. Blair Betts, 2. Ian Laperriere, 3. Rene Bourque, 4. Tom Kostopoulos, 5. Ben Eager, 6. Steve Staios, 7. Sean O’Donnell.

Brett Hull is one of the best role players for all time. The other are Toe Blake, Elmer Lanch, Dave koen, also available. according to me these players are role players for all time.

I think John Tonelli is one of the best role player. Tonelli is a the best, Long Island, New York has won four straight Stanley Cup who never said die attitude. Tonelli, who was by his teammates affectionately known as "greasy jet", is remembered in the Islanders scored four straight Stanley Cup Finals so far I choose him for a role player.

Havlicek has been in the Hall of Fame since 1984, it is not entirely ignored. VIP Bob closer to what I was looking for, but in fact, everyone thought he was a bit big names, Bob shows that he get more respect. I was thinking more underrated players.
