i hav to say joe thorton but who do you guys think... who would you pick number one in a hockey draft?

I would have to say jagr he scores a lot of goals and can pass. Thorton can do both too, its a tough call but i would say jagr.

it depends, are goals worth more than assists in this league?
If there both the same, Thornton.
If goals, Cheechoo/Jagr/Possibly Staal, depending on his development

If it's a keeper, I would definitely take Crosby or Ovechkin

In a one year league: Joe Thorton.

For goaltenders, gimme Miikka Kipprusoff

it's a toss up but probably joe thornton, jaromir jagr, or alexander ovechkin.

id aggree, you cant go wrong with ovechkin or thornton

id have to say kipper/luongo for tenders, Lidstrom or Zubov for defense and Jagr or Heatley for forwards

Gotta go with Ovechkin. I got lucky and drafted him in my new dynasty league last weekend. Crosby is a good pick too, I hear he's in better shape than last year which is a bit scary.

Thornton is amazing, but I doubt Cheechoo will be able to repeat his performance, and therefore Thornton will have less points that last year.

I would pick Jagr or Ovechkin, because they do it all on their own.

It depends on how many stats the league is going with. If its just points with goals being more imporntant I would go with Ovechkin but if there are things like +/-, PIMs I would take Thornton. I usually like to take goalies early and I don't think you can beat Luongo in nets.
