as it said as the subject: Do the Preds need to resign Dan Ellis?

i personally would say yes, although he isnt that conistent he could become better and when he has a good time eg. against the cbj he is one of the best.

what is the opninion of you guys?

For sure.He has posted good netminding thi season and when Mason was not for it,Ellis jumped in and did good work,plus he was ok in 1st round of PO.

They have already resigned him to a 2 yr deal.

The Nashville Predators have decided on their goaltender.

After dealing Chris Mason to the St. Louis Blues for a fourth round pick in the 2008 Entry Draft, the club has signed Dan Ellis to a two-year, $3.5 million contract.

The deal will see Ellis make $1.5 million in 2008-09, followed by $2 million in 2009-10.

The 28-year old appeared in 44 games last season, posting a 2.34 goals against average with a .924 save percentage and six shutouts.
