There's a British elite league. Theoren Fleury was playing there this year.

RE: hockey in england?

I remember one time a Roller Hockey team from England came to play The Anaheim Bullfrogs back when the RHI was still around. Anyway, this team proceeded to lose something like 32-3...I'm totally serious.

Great Britain recently won the second division rolley hockey World Championships. The U.S.A. won the top division.

RE: hockey in england?

Football is huge in Europe as you know. Hockey to them is like soccer to us. Not very popular. That's why they're bad at hockey and we're bad at soccer. Not enough interest or money put into the programs.
