Maybe one or all three just need a change of scenery. I have no idea what kind of system Tampa plays but maybe something about it just doesn't work for those players.

If it was a system problem I would be pretty quick to get a new coach with the possible talent those guys have. I think Richards will pick up his game and be a top 30 player in the league but he is making top 3 player money. As for St. Louis I have always thought he was overrated. I was actually surprised to see the stats as low as they are for Vinny. He seems to be a good player but doesn't rack up the points the way a high paid centre should. It wouldn't surprise me if Lecavalier were to get traded but he has been rumored to be traded for years now. I remember 4 or 5 years ago a deal was done with Ottawa until the Lightning owner stepped in and put an end to it. Tampa needs something to get them going, the team still seems pretty similar to the one that won the cup minus a great goalie.

Who was the goalie that year?

That's right...and now look at him. They started off great but now their entire first line is injured and so is he. Looks like the beginning of a rough season.

Another rough season. I can understand why they only get 8000 fans a game, that team has had a long stretch of terrible teams and have an owner that seems to know nothing about sports business.

I don't know about Phoenix being first. Look at the talent the Flyers have and look what they have done so far. I think you may see someone go ffrom there, unless the new coach can do something to change things up. Who is the new coach anyways? I haven't heard.

RE: who will make first trade

John Stevens who has been with the Flyers AHL team the Phantoms is the new guy behind the bench. I think he will have at least a couple of weeks before any player moves are made. Stevens has coaching the Phantoms when they won the Calder Cup a couple of years ago. People are saying that wit hno NHL experience he is not hte right guy for the Flyers but he coached the team to the Championship the year of the lockout when there were a fair number of NHLers down in the AHL. I think he will get a chance with the se guys before anything major happens with the players
